  • Preliminar Draft Law amending General Taxation Law - DAC 6
    Yesterday, May 12th 2020, the Spanish Council of Ministers announced the initiation of the process of the Preliminary Draft Law amending the General Taxation Law (Law 58/2003, of December 17th) in transposition of EU Council Directive 2018/882, of May 25th 2018, which amends Directive 2011/16/EU with regard to the automatic and mandatory exchange and disclosure of information in the field of taxation in relation to cross-border mechanisms, better known as DAC 6.

  • Extension of deadline for filing tax returns | 15 april
    On April 15th 2020, on the same date of publication in the Official Gazette (“Boletín Oficial del Estado”), Royal Decree-Law 14/2020, of April 14th, comes into force extending the deadline for the submission and payment of certain tax returns and self-assessments.

  • Guarantees for SMEs and self-employed | 25 March
    Yesterday, Tuesday March 24, the government approved the implementation of the line of guarantees to ensure liquidity for companies. It is a first tranche of 20,000 million euros that will inject cash flow to those companies most affected by the Coronavirus crisis, with 50% of that amount being used to serve as loans to SMEs and self-employed people.

  • Tax Measures Approve Provincial Council of Bizkaia | 19 March
    Due to the latest events concerning the outbreak of COVID-19, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia has approved the Decreto Foral Normativo 1/2020 of March 17th, which approves a series of tax measures to alleviate the economic effects of this crisis.

    On Saturday 14 March, Royal Decree 463/2020 was published in the Official State Gazette, declaring a state of alarm for the whole country due to the serious situation caused by COVID-19.
