Tell us about yourself
I hold a degree in Law from the UAB and was a candidate for the Spanish Registry of Property, Commercial and Movable Assets. I am currently Head of the Litigation Department, where I develop my professional career primarily in the field of pre-litigation civil and commercial advisory, with a particular focus on inheritance and contractual matters. I also assist clients through their representation and legal counsel in judicial proceedings of a civil and commercial nature.
How do you think the last few years have influenced the way you work?
Internally, it is true that recent years have posed a challenge in adapting to new remote working models, as well as in managing teams that must work in a coordinated manner and feel part of a shared project. However, this has not represented a paradigm shift in terms of client service, which ultimately must remain the priority. This evolution has further enhanced the value of the professional role, which is essential in a highly globalised and competitive legal market.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in their career?
To someone starting a career in law, I would highlight two key points. First, focus on training and specialisation, but never lose a global perspective, which is essential to deliver value-added legal advisory services. When a specialist is able to look beyond the specific details their expertise allows them to analyse, they become a distinctive professional.
Secondly, I would encourage them to cultivate empathy, not only towards the client, but also towards the opposing lawyer, the judge, the arbitrator or the mediator—in short, towards all those involved. A good professional must have strong conviction and determination, along with excellent communication and persuasion skills, but it is equally essential to be able to understand and put oneself in the position of the other parties involved in a dispute.
