Tell us about yourself

My background is both legal and economic. I hold a law degree from the University of Barcelona, a Master’s Degree in Economic Management from Abat Oliba CEU University, and a postgraduate qualification (CECRI) in Corporate and Financial Restructuring and Insolvency from Pompeu Fabra University (iDec).

I have always worked as a lawyer specialising in restructuring and insolvency, across Spain and on both domestic and cross-border projects. I also act as an insolvency administrator and mediator in civil, commercial and insolvency matters, accredited by the European Arbitration Association (AEADE) and the General Council of Economists (CGE).

For several years, I was an associate professor of Private International Law at the University of Barcelona and a member of the Insolvency Law Section of the Barcelona Bar Association. Within the firm, I hold the position of Managing Partner of the Restructuring and Insolvency area. In addition, I coordinate the Legal area of the Madrid office.

How do you think these last few years have influenced the way we work?

I believe it is essential to embrace change and identify those that truly add value from those that do not. Everything moves very quickly and it is not easy. It is clear that digitalisation and artificial intelligence have enabled, and will continue to enable, process optimisation, more efficient time management and increased competitiveness.

What do you value most in your day-to-day life and being part of Baker Tilly?

What I value most in my day-to-day work is being able to build, together with other teams, solutions for business crisis situations. Being able to do so in an environment such as Baker Tilly is highly rewarding. We are a young firm with very diverse profiles, yet highly professional.

“My advice for those starting their careers is the same advice I received when I began: attitude, proactivity, honesty, humility, continuous learning and rigour. With these, it is possible to go anywhere.”
