FLUGE Barcelona moves forward in sustainability with a new Event Emissions Calculator

FLUGE Barcelona is a company specialized in the rental of audiovisual equipment, specifically sound, lighting, and video equipment for events, festivals, theaters, musicals, tours, and more. As part of its commitment to the environment, the organization’s carbon footprint has been calculated, along with a calculator to measure the carbon emissions of the events it produces.

FLUGE Barcelona has joined MITECO’s Carbon Footprint Registry for its 2022 emissions. Baker Tilly Ecogesa also prepared a report calculating both direct and indirect emissions. Based on this report, a set of measures has been identified that will enable FLUGE Barcelona to reduce its carbon footprint in the future.

For each event produced by FLUGE Barcelona, Baker Tilly Ecogesa has developed a tailored carbon emissions calculator adapted to the needs of each event. To do so, it calculates emissions generated by energy consumption from equipment use during the event, employee mobility, equipment transport, waste generated, and employee overnight stays. This calculator represents an improvement for FLUGE Barcelona’s clients, as it provides clear and detailed information on the emissions associated with their events.
