Tell us about yourself

Over 30 years ago I founded my own law firm, where I have built my career mainly in corporate, international and M&A law, with a particular focus on advising boards of directors, strategy, finance and corporate transactions.

I am Of Counsel at Baker Tilly and I love bringing my experience to strategic decision-making, from both a legal and a business perspective.

How has the way you work and advise companies changed over the course of your career?

Over the years I have learned that good advice is not about producing for the sake of producing, but about understanding the problem better, anticipating its consequences and helping clients make decisions quickly, with sound judgement and a practical approach.

Today I work more directly, combining a legal and business perspective, and relying increasingly on specialised teams and tools that make it possible to be more efficient without compromising quality.

What does combining experience and a direct relationship with the knowledge and resources of a multidisciplinary team bring to clients?

For me, it makes it possible to offer more comprehensive and effective advice. The company keeps a direct, close relationship with someone who knows its business and how it makes decisions, while also being able to draw on specialists from different areas when the matter requires it. That combination brings greater judgement, speed and the ability to tackle complex problems with a global perspective.

Good advice is not about producing for the sake of producing, but about helping clients make decisions quickly, with sound judgement and a practical approach.
