Tell us about yourself
I am currently a lawyer, partner and Head of Legal at Baker Tilly Abogados. I am a member of the board of directors of Baker Tilly Iberia, where I serve as both board member and secretary. At an international level, I perform the role of International Business Leader (IBL), where I am responsible for managing both inbound and outbound opportunities related to international legal services.
Since 2014, I have been a member of the international legal committee (Legal Steering Committee), of which I am a founding member. This role allows us to play an active part in the development and consolidation of Baker Tilly’s legal network at an international level.
How do you think these last few years have influenced the way you work?
In my case, I do not see these new dynamics as something negative; quite the opposite. They enable us, among other things, to be much more efficient in delivering advisory services to our clients, while also promoting policies of workplace flexibility and work-life balance for our teams.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in their career?
Everyone is different and has their own values and interests, but from my perspective, what is most important in the early years (and, more broadly, throughout one’s entire career), beyond maintaining a willingness to learn, is to keep an open mind and have the ability and willingness to learn everything that professional practice in a law firm entails.
