An M&A transaction to promote sustainable solutions on an international scale
Baker Tilly has advised CYGYC Biocon and its shareholders on the sale process to WVT Group, a European group specialising in sustainable hygiene and professional cleaning solutions.
The transaction represents a significant step in WVT Group’s international growth strategy, expanding its capabilities in enzymatic technologies, biotechnology and research and development. For CYGYC Biocon, joining the group represents an opportunity to accelerate its international expansion, strengthen its commercial capabilities and extend the reach of its sustainable solutions in global markets.
Following the transaction, the combined group will have a presence in more than 70 countries and more than 250 employees, consolidating its position as a leading European platform for sustainable hygiene, cleaning and disinfection solutions.
CYGYC Biocon: biotechnological and sustainable solutions for industrial markets
CYGYC Biocon is a company specialised in chemical, enzymatic, biotechnological and probiotic solutions for sectors such as human and animal nutrition, professional detergency, hygiene, agriculture and other industrial applications.
The company operates through four complementary brands: Biocon, Biokatal, OXA and Questcatio. Thanks to this structure, it offers a diversified proposition focused on sustainability, with solutions designed to improve the performance of industrial processes and reduce environmental impact.
With a presence in more than 35 countries, CYGYC Biocon has in-house research and development capabilities, particularly in the field of enzymes and biotechnological solutions. Its technical expertise, formulation capabilities and sustainable approach have established the company as a relevant player in high value-added industrial markets.
WVT Group: an expanding European platform
WVT Group is a European group headquartered in Belgium specialising in the development and marketing of high value-added solutions for industrial, maritime, food, professional, agricultural and healthcare sectors.
The group has built a diversified platform around several companies specialised in maritime cleaning, industrial cleaning, professional hygiene, disinfection and biosecurity. The acquisition of CYGYC Biocon complements its strategic positioning by incorporating new capabilities in enzymatic technology, probiotics and sustainable solutions.
This transaction constitutes the second strategic acquisition carried out since Siparex ETI became the majority shareholder of WVT Group in 2025, following the acquisition of Roam Technology. The transaction reflects the group’s ambition to consolidate a leading European platform in sustainable cleaning, hygiene and disinfection solutions.
