Baker Tilly strengthens its presence in Portugal with the integration of Anjos & Associados
A further step in the 2026–2028 strategic plan
Baker Tilly continues to advance its growth strategy across the Iberian Peninsula with the integration of the Portuguese firm Anjos & Associados, an audit specialist based in Porto.
This transaction is part of Baker Tilly Iberia’s 2026–2028 strategic plan, aimed at strengthening its position in key markets and achieving €100 million in revenue by the end of the period.
A strategic move to consolidate the audit business
Anjos & Associados is a well-established firm in northern Portugal, with revenue of approximately €2 million and a team of around 30 professionals.
Through this integration, Baker Tilly strengthens its operational capacity in the Portuguese market by incorporating local talent and a solid client portfolio in one of the country’s most economically dynamic regions.
“Anjos is one of the firms with the strongest track record in northern Portugal and has a solid client portfolio. This agreement strengthens our audit business in the country and supports our strategic ambitions.”
A phased integration model through 2028
The agreement предусматри a gradual integration of Anjos & Associados into the Baker Tilly network.
During 2026, both organisations will continue to operate independently, maintaining their current brands and structures, while progressing in the alignment of processes, teams, and quality standards.
The process is expected to be completed in 2028, when the Portuguese firm will fully adopt the Baker Tilly brand, further strengthening its position within the international network.
Strengthening technology and international standards
The integration will enable Anjos & Associados to access Baker Tilly’s technological tools and working methodologies, ensuring:
- Consistency across processes.
- Enhanced quality standards.
- Greater capacity to serve international clients.
This development strengthens the firm’s value proposition in Portugal and enhances its ability to support companies operating in increasingly global environments.
Porto, a strategic hub for Iberian growth
The transaction reinforces Baker Tilly’s presence in Porto, one of Portugal’s main economic hubs. The northern region accounts for nearly 20% of the country’s GDP and a significant share of its business fabric, making it a key area for the development of professional services.
The addition of a local team in this region allows Baker Tilly to be closer to its clients and continue driving growth in the Portuguese market.
With this transaction, the firm continues to strengthen its position as a trusted partner for companies operating across the Iberian Peninsula, offering integrated solutions in audit, consulting, legal, and tax advisory services.
